Afriski is located deep in the north-eastern highlands of Lesotho. In addition to the snowy winter conditions of Lesotho, Afriski also consistently produces its own snow - and the more snow they make the higher the starting point for either snowboarding or skiing! By day Afriski provides a myriad of adventure activities and by night it becomes a winter wonderland!!
Night 1: Overnight in Clarens, self-catering, 3* accommodation
Nights 2 - 6: Afriski 3* accommodation in a 4 or 5 bedroomed Mountain Chalet, sharing, self-catering
MOUNTAIN CHALETS cover all self-catering chalets on the mountain. All chalets on the mountain have a full kitchen, lounge and dining room with linen provided. Chalets consist of 3 & 4 bedrooms units with 2 & 3 bathroom combinations.
BEGINNER PLUS PACKAGE: This is a fully inclusive package for snow activities on the Afriski Resort, valid for 4 days however at 3 day rates. This package includes 4 day full equipment rental, a 4 day Snow Pass including a day of Beginner Plus Lessons. Please note this package is for skier and snowboarders. *Helmets not included.
August 20 - morning skiing lessons, starting 10:00am (approx. 4 hours)
August 21 - casual skiing morning and afternoon, open between 09:00am and 16:00pm daily
Augsut 22 - casual skiing morning and afternoon, open between 09:00am and 16:00pm daily
August 23 - skiing in the morning or you can start your travels back home
The accommodation units are all self-catering but the resort offers a number of restaurant / pub options at which we can enjoy our breakfast, lunch and suppers
We will travel from Johannesburg to Clarens on the afternoon of the 19th August (approx 4 hours) and then an early departure to Afriski, located in Lesotho, which is another approximate 2:30 hours. Our skiing lessons start on the morning of our arrival. We will return from Lesotho to Johannesburg on the Sunday morning.
Travel there and back is for your own arrangement - if anyone is willing to share then we can make these arrangements closer to the time.
Please note that we need to pass through the Lesotho border control so please ensure that you have a valid passport.
